CB7050 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE   C3-C4 K01-K10, H05-H15 Cast Iron Multi-corner mini-tips - now PVD coated for longer tool life and easy edge wear identification] 'Multi-corners give lower costs per edge. Sinter bonded for greater strength and higher edge temperature. A specialized manufacturing process results in a large contact area between CBN and carbide. Recommended for high speed roughing to finishing of cast irons under good conditions. Is able to handle some interruptions.

GC2145 PVD COATED CARBIDE TiAlN-TiN   M40, P45, S40 Steel, Stainless Steel, High-temp Alloys GC2145 has an even tougher substrate than gc2135 but still with very good resistance to thermal and mechanical shock. The tough and wear resistant coating, a PVd coating of TiAlN-TiN, in combination with the very tough substrates makes gc2145 the perfect choice for cut-off to center and other applications with an extreme demand on toughness. GC235 CARBIDE - CVD COATED TiN/TiC/TiN C5 P30-P50, M25-M40 Steel,Stainless Steel GC235 is an extremely tough grade with a three-layer coating of TiN, TiC and TiN. The total thickness is only 3 micrometer. The use of a new advanced manufacturing technique has given GC3020 a capability superior to its predecessor, GC3015, particularly in regards to long and predictable tool life. GC3020 will gradulally replace GC3015. In a number of documented tests GC3020 has, within its application area, already outperformed many other grades of a similar type. The recommended feed area for GC3020 is .004 up to .016 in/tooth. GC3020 performs very well within a wide cutting speed range, from 230 SFM up to and into the area where normally the use of ceramic edge materials is considered, 1300 SFM. The normal speed range is 650 SFM. When conditions permit, GC3020 should be used with high cutting data, offering excellent productivity. The tool life is still better than what is often the norm for conventional carbides. GC3020 can be used for most types of cast iron, by advantage the grey. However, white cast iron is an exception. The reliable performance and well-balanced wear configuration of GC3020 is particularly beneficial in production where tool changes take place after certain intervals, e.g. on transfer lines.
